group, has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2021, therefore entering the preselection for the XXVII Compasso d’ Oro Award!

Every year ADI,the Association for Industrial Design, identifies the best in
Italian design currently in production, selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory, and presents it through a communication process that is divided into a yearbook, a dedicated web site and a series of exhibitions. The selection includes products and all type of product systems, theoretical-
critical research, process and corporate research, services, social initiatives
all with particular attention paid to sustainability. Only products selected for the ADI Design Index can participate in the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award.

As the winner of the SZIDF Gadget Design Award 2018 I had the honour to take part of the Industrial Design Fair in Shenzhen which has been held from 5 to 7th November at the Convention and Exhibition Center. It has been such an incredible experience, shared with Davide Scomparin, CEO of Desall.com, the web platform which promoted the Gadget Design Award Design contest. I put on show some of the products I have developed for my Clients (thank you Audison and Raphon Technologies, Hertz, Vega Lift) during the past years and got to know so many extraordinary people with a strong will to do great projects in the near future. Such a positive energy!

On 5th Nov, during the Gala Dinner at the V-Hotel I received the award by the Jury formed up of Luisa Bocchietto, President of the World Design Organization; Ralph Wiegmann, CEO of iF International Forum Design GmbH; Hannu Kähönen,Founder & CEO of the Creadesign Agency; Sandy Munro, Design Prophet & CEO, Munro & Associates, Inc.; Paul Cohen, Design Director, CEO of Cube Design; He Renke, Dean and Professor at School of Design, Hunan University; David Song, CEO of Taiwan Design Center.

Shenzhen would surely be the best city where to start new collaborations and grow business partnerships with both Chinese and global companies. I really look forward to coming back next year!

MyEquilibria is a seven-metre tall, iconic fitness tree. This elegant, weather-resistant sculpture, which will work in a variety of outdoor spaces, was inspired by Voronoi diagrams. It harmoniously brings together art and fitness. This piece of sports equipment is mainly made of high-strength concrete that seamlessly integrates with the high-grade stainless steel and thus makes for an innovative product solution. It is suitable for both experienced users and beginners for total body workouts. An app provides more than 500 video exercise tutorials.

18 designers have created witty and unconventional objects as a tribute to IKEA, all of them coated with ICA BIO coatings. The result is an exhibition that will be held at “FuoriSalone” during the Milan Design Week

There is a table for antisocial people called Chatt, a dining table for those on a diet called Diät, or Grandiös, a pedestal for the egocentric ones. Also, there is the hiding-lovers wardrobe, with a seat inside to sit comfortably, the bookcase for just one book and many other works worth to be seen. They were all created by 18 designers from 6 different countries, who were asked to realize flat-pack, self-assembly projects by the Danish designer Niklas Jacob, as a fun and ironic tribute to IKEA world. Who doesn’t know it?

They met Sandro Paniccia, ICA Chairman, Andrea Paniccia, General Manager, and Lorenzo Paniccia, R&D Technical Manager, and were able to get a close look at the new ICA product: Iridea BIO, the first highly eco-friendly, oil-free coating in the world. “Every company should ask itself what’s its impact on the planet – says Sandro Paniccia – Our BIO coating is the result of 3 years of research and it proves that going green in the chemistry industry is possible”.

The 18 objects created were coated with Iridea BIO coating and collected for an exhibition entitled “IDEA – The Design Supermarket“, during one of the leading international events for the furnishing world, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. The exhibition will be held from 17 to 22 April at Superstudio Più, Via Tortona 27, Milan, and will be one of the events of the FuoriSalone, which attracts thousands of visitors every year.
